Veteran actor, Adebayo Salami, popularly known as “Oga Bello,” found himself in the midst of a controversy after a fan expressed concerns about his involvement in promoting alcoholic beverages
Bloggers reported earlier that, a fan took to the comment section of Oga Bello criticized him after the veteran actor shares a video himself promoting an alcoholic drink, telling his fans to join the alcoholic drink ‘Say a Prayer’ challenge.
He caption the video with, ” Paying a Special Visit to Our #SayAPrayerChallenge Winners in partnership with @eagleschnapps. Stay tuned as I bring joy, surprises, and authentic moments to our incredible participants. #sayaprayer #EagleSchnapps #AuthenticPrayerDrink’
Reacting to this the fan criticized Salami for seemingly endorsing alcohol despite religious beliefs, prompted the actor to respond and address the issue.
The fan state that their religion prohibits the consumption of alcohol and anything related to it. He urge the veteran actor to do the needful and rectify his action.
The fan message read “Salam alaykum sir . I am from ILORIN too and I want to call your attention to this sir as our religion did not allow drinking of Alcohol or anything to do with it and seeing you as their ambassadors really touched my mind sir .
In fact, I just called the number on the profile now sir but it was just ringing. It would be of immense importance and appreciation if this is rectified sir as we’re always proud of having you as one of the Emirate member. May Allah continue to guide and protect us all sir . Maaasallam”

The fan comment didn’t well with some fans and followers of Oga Bello as the took to the comment section to drag him for criticising the veteran actor.
